The Bible shows us many instances where angels ministered to human beings. Angels are spirits approved and assigned by God to carry out tasks for God and humanity. Believe it or not, we live in a spiritual world where many things are influenced and controlled from the spiritual realm. It is important to understand a little about this realm so that we can take advantage of spiritual realities to deal with physical issues.
I will highlight some examples in the Bible where angels ministered to people:
1. Mary, the mother of Jesus – Luke 1:26
2. Daniel – Daniel 10:7–13
3. Zacharias – Luke 1:10–13
4. Our Lord Jesus – Matthew 4:11
Angels carry out tasks for God. They are created to do God’s will. Angels do not act according to their own will; they carry out the will of God.
Our text above says that angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister to us. Angels carry out the counsel of God, whether for delivering good tidings or executing judgment against God’s enemies.
Angels can work against the wicked and also work on behalf of God’s people by bringing them good tidings. Whatever assignment they are given, they perform it completely and faithfully, leaving no stone unturned. If they are sent to execute judgment, they do so with so much precision and brutality, and if they are sent to bring good tidings, they deliver them without omission.
The most important thing to note in today’s devotional is that we have ministering spirits whose ministry we need to maximise. If you know God’s will concerning any matter, then continue to speak His Word and make your requests known before heaven until the angels assigned to your answer bring manifestation.
There is someone reading this devotional today whose assigned angels are waiting for you to speak, but you have remained silent for too long. Everything holding your tongue from speaking is set on fire in Jesus’ name.
