TEXT: ISAIAH 37:31 KJV
And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward
Discussions:
Today’s devotional is to encourage us in our daily walk with God. Taking root downward could be a very difficult one for any tree. To take root downward would mean you have to break through or navigate around many obstacles or challenges. It could be very tough going through rocks and stones, but the experience keeps the tree standing when challenges come.
No one would understand what you went through, just like the way no one sees what the big tree went through to stand firm, but those experiences are part of the making of a strong person. The root makes you strong and better, but the fruit is what people see and speak about.
People may say that the tree is so good not because of the root but because of the fruit. People eat the fruits, but pay little or no attention to the root. God wants us to shine the light for people to see and to partake of the fruit, but the real thing which keeps us going is how rooted we are in Christ that is not seen by men. The ones in the secret place.
People can easily pluck a fruit, but it is difficult to uproot a tree. Your personal experience with God can never be taken away from you. It may be tough, but it is to make you a better person in Christ.
I shall hear your testimony in Jesus name
Declarations:
I shall take root downward and my fruits shall be good in Jesus name. I shall shine because my light has come and the glory of the Lord Jehovah is upon me. Hallelujah!
