TEXT: ACTS 4:20 NKJV
For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
Discussions:
Peter and John said they could not just remain silent. There are encounters we can have that completely change us. How do we explain Peter, who denied Jesus three times, now saying he cannot help but speak about Him? Some encounters can make a quiet person bold and fearless.
We need encounters with God that will transform us and keep us on fire for Jesus Christ.
The woman at the well could not keep silent (John 4:28) after she encountered Jesus. It is a great thing to see and hear from the Lord. The reason many remain quiet is that they have not truly seen or heard from Him.
Seeing and hearing are difficult if you have not given your all to Jesus. Peter and John gave everything to follow Him. They surrendered all, and God did not disappoint them.
Saul also had an encounter, and everything about him changed. The persecutor became an apostle.
Brethren, let us call upon the Lord today to grant us an encounter to see and hear Him more clearly than we ever have before.
Declarations:
I receive the grace to surrender all to the Lord. I shall have an encounter with my Lord that will change my life in Jesus name.
