DIVINE PROVISION

Discussion

Happy New month!!! Today, we shall be looking at a popular story in the Bible about the life of Abraham. God called Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac, only to test his love for Him. The original plan, as far as God was concerned, was that Abraham would sacrifice a ram, not a human being. The ram was not a substitute for Isaac; rather, it was part of God’s original plan that a ram would be sacrificed. However, the way the ram was caught in the thicket by its horns was based on Abraham’s obedience to God.

When God commands or gives an instruction, everything required to make God’s desire or end goal possible is set in motion. This means that, as Abraham was climbing the mountain in obedience to God, the ram was also climbing the mountain on the other side. The ram was not caught in a thicket by mistake; it was divinely orchestrated.

Today, God is divinely ordering the steps of someone in a way that will prove to you that God is truly a provider. God is still a miracle-working God. If He did it before, He can do it again and again.
From this story, it is very clear that obedience to God attracts divine provision. What we need is not too big for God to provide. All we need to do is simply obey.

Also, until our hearts are fully committed, our eyes may not see God’s provision. The ram was there, but Abraham did not see it until the angel spoke to him. At that point, his love for God had been fully demonstrated, and then he saw the ram. There is a divine connection between our hearts and our sight. If God sees that your heart is right, He will bring the provision in your direction.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was asked to pay tax in Matthew 17:24–27. He told Peter to go and catch a fish, and money would be found in the mouth of the first fish. The money was in the mouth of the first fish, not in all the fish. Let us assume that Peter caught the first fish, but the fish looked too small to have money in its mouth, so he threw it back into the river without checking its mouth. Peter would have missed the blessing because his common sense would have prevailed over his divine sense. Sometimes, God’s instructions may make no sense to us but Gods way is always the right way.

Don’t forget, when God commands, everything begins to work together to ensure that what God has said comes to pass. As you follow God this season, God shall supply all your needs beyond your imagination, in Jesus’ name.

Declaration:

As I obey the Lord, all my needs according to God’s will shall be met, in Jesus’ name.
