TEXT: 1 KINGS 18:44 KJV
And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
Discussions:
God wants us to acknowledge Him in every little miracle we see. Many times, we take the little things God does for granted, while expecting the big things from Him. The advantage of acknowledging God in small things is that it builds our faith for the bigger things we are expecting. Faith is very important in receiving things from God.
As we acknowledge God and give thanks to Him for little wins, it helps us see Him in greater things—in fact, in everything. God has done many things for us that we have considered mere luck or chance, whereas He expects us to thank Him and give Him the glory. Unbelievers may call it luck, but we call it the act of God.
It pleases God when we acknowledge Him in small things because doing so increases our faith to trust Him for bigger things, which in turn pleases Him.
Elijah did not need to see the rain or dark clouds before believing that God had heard him. Even a tiny sign in the cloud, like a man’s hand, was enough to show that God was at work.
If you acknowledge the finger of God, you will see the arm of God; if you acknowledge the arm of God, in no time you will see the face of God.
Declaration:
Thank you Lord for everything about my life. Thank you Lord for the big and small things.
