GUARD YOUR HEART

 TEXT: PROVERBS 4:23 KJV

Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.

 Discussions:

Happy good Friday. Today we remember our Lord Jesus Christ who bore all our iniquities on the cross of calvary. We are grateful to God that we are redeemed and we now have access to God the father through the blood of Jesus.

Today’s devotional is focused on our inside. The real us. Solomon advised us to guard our heart with all diligence. What goes into the inside eventually comes out on the outside.
The heart is like a refinery. Things come in as crude but are processed and come out better. If good things enter the heart, they come out better but if bad stuffs enter it comes out worse. That is why we must guard the gates of our heart—our eyes, ears, mouth and our feelings.
One important gate Satan is using more this days is the eyes. For example, Social media can bring in many influence both negative and positive. Some of the algorithm were done to target purposes. They could cause addictions or promote a sinful nature. So we must be careful about what we watch and listen to, because it can affect our soul.
We should do everything to guard our hearts. The Lord will help us in Jesus’ name. Once Satan gets into the heart, he’s pretty fulfilled in his mission( Matt 13:25). He knows that is the real engine of man. God will guide us and help us to guard our heart in Jesus name.
Practical Steps
1. Flee from apparencies of evil. 1 Thess 5:22
2. Pray always. 1 Thess 5:17
3. Stockpile scriptures in your heart. Psalm 119:11
4. Use the scriptures when tempted. Matt 4:4

Declarations:

I build the wall of fire around my heart. Evil thoughts are not permitted. I open door of my heart to good and pleasant thoughts in Jesus name.
