“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.”

Happy Easter to you. As we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus, may our lives be a true reflection of Christ, in Jesus’ name.
Today’s scripture is a reminder for us not to get carried away with the things of this world. The Bible text tells us that if we are truly risen with Christ, then our focus should be on things above.
It’s clear that the world we live in is temporary and often feels unreal. Things fade away in this world as if they never existed. The only thing that is certain is eternity.
Money, fame, and material things, which we all strive for, are important to have but are very unreliable. Someone can be wealthy today and poor tomorrow; knowledgeable today and ignorant tomorrow.
So let all your treasures be laid up in heaven. Seek God. Put your attention on the things of God: your service to Him, the lives you have touched, and the souls you have brought to Christ.
May the Lord help us to seek the things which are above, in Jesus’ name.
