TEXT: JOHN 8:14 KJV
Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go
Discussions:
There is nothing wrong with knowing who you are. If you do not know who you are, Satan will deceive you, and you will not live according to the plan of God for your life.
To know who you are in Christ, you need confidence. This simply means walking in the path of God, being aware of it, and testifying about it with great reverence to God.
This means that someone has a full grasp of the path they are on, and no devil can derail them from this path. The devil is very cunning; he can make a giant think he is a dwarf. He can also present the truth in a false way, trying to distract your mind from the truth you know, so that you begin to think the truth is false.
In our scripture reading today, Jesus was performing His duty, what He was born to do but people said He was bearing record of Himself. In today’s terms, this would mean you are showing off, being arrogant, or proud. An empty barrel makes the most noise.
But Jesus replied, It is true that I bear witness of Myself, but I know where I came from and where I am going.
Believers, do not let the devil and his agent bully you with their opinions when you try to express yourself in a modest way. Just make sure you remain modest and reverence God sincerely.
If God tells you are the head don’t accept being a tail all in the name of humility.
God bless you as you shine for Jesus.
Declarations:
I am the head and not the tail. I am above only in Jesus name. I know who I am in Christ.
