BUILDING NOT MADE WITH HANDS

BUILDING NOT MADE WITH HANDS

 TEXT: II CORINTHIANS 5:1

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

 Discussions:

The scripture today tells us of a building not made with hands. Apostle Paul was explaining that the tabernacle we see with our two eyes was built with our hands, but there is another one not made with hands that we will be clothed with.
It is like looking at your church building and saying, “If this building collapses, I am sure I have eternity locked inside me which cannot collapse. It is eternal, and this building clothes my spirit with heavenly glory.”

This is a reminder that there is more to us than the physical church building in which we take glory. There is also more to us than the physical appearance and achievements in which we take pride. There is a glory that is heavenly. This is eternal glory for those who are in Christ.

This will require holiness. Holiness is the only guarantee for this eternal building/glory. May the Lord help us to live our lives for Him all the days of our lives, in Jesus’ name.

Declarations:

Lord, please help me to live a life worthy of You, that my spirit will be clothed with this heavenly glory and be ready for the Master.
