TEXT: ISAIAH 59:19 NKJV
[19] So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
Discussion
We shall continue with our topic from Saturday. Today, we shall concentrate on supernatural supply as one of the ways God raises a standard against the enemy. Jesus performed His first miracle at a wedding in Cana because shame was knocking at the couple’s door. He turned imminent lack into abundance, making shame a thing of the past.
Imminent lack can be an enemy in the life of a believer. If God, the Owner of everything, is our Father, we should not live in lack. The Lord shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). There are many instances in Scripture where God intervened to eradicate lack, want, and shame.
Shame came knocking at the door of a widow (2 Kings 4:1–7). God not only multiplied the widow’s oil, but He also brought buyers for it so that the miracle would be complete. He multiplied the oil, provided buyers, and gave her enough to sell at a good price to pay off her debt.
Every debt or lack that seeks to put you to shame will be dealt with by God. Just as He came through for the widow, and just as Jesus rescued the couple on their wedding day, that same God will come through for you today, and you shall have a testimony in Jesus’ name.
It is also important to note that God’s intervention is always in abundance, not barely enough. The widow paid off her debt and lived on the rest. Likewise, the wine that Jesus made was better than the one that had already been served. This shows that God raises a standard against debt and lack by providing more than enough.
Expect that God’s intervention in your life today will not only meet your needs but also leave you with an abundance.
Declarations:
The Lord shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory. I shall not lack any good thing. I shall not be put to shame. The Lord will provide more than enough for me, and I shall testify of His goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
