[6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

Today’s devotional reminds us why we should not worry about any situation we find ourselves in. Worry is definitely not from the Holy Spirit. To be honest, it is easier said than done, but the truth is that what seems shocking or worrying to us is not new to God.
Nothing happens without God’s knowledge. He is never surprised by anything because He is aware of every situation. Every future event is planned in advance by God. He has everything mapped out. God can never be caught off guard or left without a solution.
No matter the difficult situation you are in at the moment, God has already planned a way out before the situation occurred (Isaiah 46:10).
When worry is allowed into our hearts, it can lead to fear, and fear brings torment. We shall discuss more about fear tomorrow.
God’s expectation is that we should not worry about anything but trust Him to handle every situation. The objective of today’s devotional is to encourage anyone who is worried about a particular situation by reminding them that God already has everything figured out. Instead of worrying, channel your energy into speaking to the God who has already made a way out.
Our Bible text today tells us what to do instead of worrying. Rather than worrying, we should pray until we receive the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Many times, we worry because we have not truly encountered God concerning the situation.
Sometimes, God allows certain situations because He wants to draw our attention to Him in prayer. God appeared to Moses in a burning bush to capture his attention. Likewise, let us make up our minds to remain steadfast in prayer instead of worrying.
Very soon, God will show you that He is in charge of the situation you are currently worrying about, and I shall hear your testimony, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
