POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS

TEXT: HEBREWS 9:14 NKJV

[14]how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

There is so much power in the blood of Jesus Christ. The book of Hebrews 9 gives us a true picture of the relationship between the Old Testament sacrifices and the sacrifice of the Son of God in the New Testament.

In the Old Testament, the high priest would enter the Most Holy Place once a year with the blood of goats and calves to offer sacrifices for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance. This was a very serious responsibility because the high priest had to ensure that the ritual was performed correctly in order to come out alive.
But Jesus, the Son of God, came into the world and gave Himself as the ultimate sacrifice so that we no longer need to offer goats or calves. His blood has already been shed on the cross once and for all.

If the high priest had to offer sacrifices for sins committed in ignorance, then it is clear that there are sins people commit unknowingly. However, the blood of Jesus has bridged the gap between God and humanity so that we are no longer condemned by the sins of the past or by sins committed in ignorance.

Our focus today calls for deep meditation on the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus is the greatest sacrifice, and no other sacrifice or covenant can compare with it.

The blood of Jesus is the answer to sin and iniquity. The blood of Jesus is the answer to every old covenant. The blood of Jesus is the answer to sickness and disease. The blood of Jesus is the answer to the question of eternal life.

Let us maximize the power in the blood of Jesus. Plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your family, your journey, your daily activities, your finances, and every area of your life.

Most importantly, let us purge ourselves of every dead work of sin. When Satan reminds us of our old life and past sins, let us remind him that the blood of Jesus was shed once and for all. Through His sacrifice, we are free from every legal hold of sin.

Glory be to God! Jesus paid it all. We are called to walk in the grace of our new nature in Christ, having been cleansed and purified by His blood. Hallelujah!

Declarations:

Jesus paid the price for my sins on the cross; therefore, I am no longer a sinner but a child of God. Jesus paid the price for my health; therefore, I cannot be under the bondage of sickness or disease, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
