JUDAH SHALL GO UP

JUDAH SHALL GO UP

TEXT: JUDGES 1:2 KJV

“And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. ”

Discussion

Today, we shall talk about one thing that God wants us to do continually. There are things God wants us to do continually, such as praying without ceasing, because He loves to fellowship with us. Today, we shall focus on praise.

Praising God means a lot to Him. The Bible says, “He dwells in the midst of the praises of His people” (Psalm 22:3). He also wants us to praise Him at all times. Judah means “praise” (Genesis 29:35). Leah named her son Judah because she said, “Now I will praise the Lord!”

Our text today explains how God told the children of Israel to go up against the Canaanites to fight, allowing Judah (Praise) to go first. The Lord said, “Judah shall go up, and I have delivered the land into his hand.” Judah was chosen because praise is a weapon of war.

David said, “I will praise the Lord at all times, and His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” David used this weapon of praise, and he never lost a battle as a king.

When we praise God, we invite the heavenly host to take over our battles. We attract the hosts of heaven into our situations. Jehoshaphat used praise as a weapon, as explained in 2 Chronicles 20.

Praise creates an atmosphere of joy, and God dwells in strength and joy (1 Chronicles 16:27). Thanksgiving and praise work hand in hand. Praise can help us overcome negative emotions such as anger, depression, and anxiety. Praise is like a plane that takes us from the natural realm into the supernatural realm.

Are you currently facing a challenge that seems very difficult for you to handle? Try praise. You must be intentional about praising God concerning the matter. If you think about it, the matter may be beyond your ability to handle, so you must find a way to bring the supernatural into the situation. Therefore, it is wise to try praise.

I have tried this personally, and I have seen God come through for me in a supernatural way. After you pray about any matter, always create time to praise God concerning it. Even if you are still waiting for an answer, praise Him in advance. It makes a whole lot of difference, especially when we praise God with all our hearts.

Declaration:

I shall bless the Lord at all times, and His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
