Discussion
Today, we shall continue our discussion about Jesus. We shall discuss Jesus as the truth. The truth here means something that goes beyond facts. Jesus Christ said that He is the truth, and there are no two shades of truth. There is only one truth, which is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is the One prophesied by the prophets in the Old Testament (Isaiah 9:6). He is the evidence of what was already prophesied.
There are many situations and circumstances that come our way that may look like facts, but as long as the truth, i.e., Jesus, tells us otherwise, we choose to believe what Jesus says rather than any other verdict. For example, the word of Jesus supersedes cancer, high blood pressure, poverty, etc.
Jesus being the truth means that there is no lie in Him. Everything He represents and says is the truth. Everything is open to Him; nothing is hidden.
Jesus met the woman at the well and told her everything about herself (John 4:16). It was obvious that Jesus knew what no one had ever told Him, which was the truth about the woman.
God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent (Numbers 23:19). We must never forget that God’s Word is the truth and that Jesus is the Word (John 1:1). Because Jesus is the Word and His Word is true, believing in Jesus means believing that God’s promises shall surely come to pass in our lives.
1. His Word says I am healed, so I am healed — 2 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5.
2. His Word says I am rich, so I am not poor — 2 Corinthians 8:9.
3. His Word says I am victorious, so I am not defeated — Romans 8:37.
4. His Word says I am righteous, so I am not a sinner — 2 Corinthians 5:21.

Jesus is the truth, and I choose to believe in God’s promises rather than the verdict of men.
