ENFORCING GOD’S PROMISES

TEXT: MATTHEW 11:12 NKJV

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

Discussion

Today’s devotional focuses on our spiritual tenacity and our ability to lay hold of all the promises of God for our lives. Our Bible text tells us that from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. This teaches us that spiritual aggressiveness is necessary. We cannot remain quiet when things are going against us spiritually.
The promises of God are “Yes” and “Amen,” but we also have satan our adversary who does not want the promises to come to reality

For God’s promises for our lives to come to pass, choosing to remain silent or adopting the attitude of “whatever will be, will be” is simply accepting defeat.

When things are going against us, we must enforce the promises of God. When Jesus died on the cross, He declared, “It is finished,” meaning that He had completed everything necessary for our victory. Victory is ours, and we are more than a conqueror. We need to understand the significance of that statement. It means that Jesus has finished the work. He has conquered sin, defeated depression, overcome sickness and disease, and secured our victory.

Jesus completed everything that was required. Our responsibility is to stand firmly on His promises until we see their manifestation in our lives.

Satan is a bully. He will do everything possible to make you believe that the promises of God are not real. However, if we stand firmly on God’s promises and resist the devil, he will flee from us.

It is important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. Therefore, we must put on and use our spiritual weapons. Also when we fight, we fight from the stand point of victory because it was finished on the cross over 2000 years ago on the cross by Jesus Christ

Practical Steps
1. Find God’s promises concerning your circumstances.
2. Speak God’s promises over your circumstances.
3. Keep speaking the promises until your circumstances change.
4. Ask God for wisdom and direction every step of the way.

I shall surely hear your testimonies.

Declarations:

I shall not grow weary. I shall stand firm until the will of God comes to pass in my life. I will continue to enforce God’s promises through faith until I see their manifestation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
