TEXT: ROMANS 10:13&10 KJV
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Discussion
Today’s devotional is a call to salvation. For anyone reading this today who does not believe in Jesus as the Saviour, I encourage you to run to Him for the salvation of your soul.
Meditating on the story of Noah in Genesis chapters 6 and 7, the Bible records that Noah found grace in the eyes of God because he was a just man and perfect in his generation. Noah and his family were the only survivors of the flood that covered the entire world. The reason Noah survived the wrath was because he found grace in the eyes of God and was a just man. In the same chapter, the Bible records the corruption that existed in the world at that time, but Noah decided not to be part of that corruption, and he was saved.
For us to find grace, just like Noah did, we must believe. The Apostle Paul said, “Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”This starts from believing that Jesus is the only way to be saved in this world filled with wickedness and corruption. If God could save Noah by grace, God can save anyone too, as long as we meet the condition of believing in Him and calling upon Him.
God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus, into the world to die for us as a sacrificial Lamb, so that we can become righteous through His blood. We did not become righteous by our own works, but by the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
The objective of today’s devotional is to remind those who are already tired of everything going on around them and are beginning to think, “Is Jesus really who they say He is?” It is also for those who have never believed in Jesus.
Jesus is alive. He wants us to believe in Him and call upon Him for our salvation. Noah believed in God, and his family was saved. If we can only believe and call upon Him, we shall be saved.
Jesus is calling the lost sheep to come back to Him today, and He is also bringing new sheep into the flock. When Noah was building the ark, many people may have thought he had mental health issues, yet the very ark they mocked became his place of salvation.

“My Lord Jesus Christ, I confess my sins to You today. Please forgive me of all my unrighteousness. I believe You died for me, and I believe that Your blood has redeemed me back to You. Give me the grace to know You more and to walk in Your will for my life as I surrender to You.”
