TEXT: PSALM 68:1 NKJV
Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

The text today tells us what happens when God arises. Anything that makes God arise from His throne must be very special, for His enemies would need to take cover for their safety. The Bible does not say, “Let God get angry and let His enemies scatter.” Rather, it says, “Let God arise, and His enemies be scattered.” The psalmist was simply saying that we have to do something that will make God arise and cause His enemies to scatter because JEHOVAH IS STANDING. The Man of War is standing. The Lord of Hosts is standing. The One who was not created but created all things is on His feet. The One whose word never falls to the ground is standing. The rise of God is the downfall of His enemies.
God created us for a purpose. He made us to fulfill His will here on earth. Any devil who attacks us is attacking the plan of God, directly or indirectly. Any agent of darkness who makes our lives a target is attacking God’s project, directly or indirectly, which makes them God’s enemy. Therefore, it is my responsibility to make God arise by worshipping and exalting Him, focusing on His mandate and purpose for my life. As I continue to give Him glory, any devil that interferes is defeated.
Many Christians are comfortable with the enemy and keep thinking God will do something, whereas God could have acted, but they have not managed to trigger JEHOVAH into action. The Bible says that when a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him(Prov 16:7). This means that the man’s enemies see the God behind him and decide to cooperate rather than attack, because any attempt to attack a man who pleases God is a suicidal mission.
Brethren, let God arise by praising Him, glorifying Him, and trusting Him like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and see how your enemies fall before you.
