TEXT: MARK 5:6 NKJV
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.
Discussions:
The devotional today focuses on the presence of God we carry as a child of God. Jesus did not need to introduce himself to the mad man of Gadara. The demonic spirit recognised the spirit of God in Jesus without Jesus saying a single word. They say empty barrel makes the loudest noise. The devil knows those who are noise makers and those who really carry the power of God.
The mad man saw Jesus from afar off, he ran and worshipped him. There are levels in this kingdom. How can a mad man see Jesus from afar off and worshipped him? What was he seeing that others did not see? What could make him worship Jesus without introduction? It is the presence of God the Father.
Jesus was never walking alone. If we carry the presence of God the agents of darkness would know. The power of God will be evident in our lives. It’s time for us to go deeper in God so that the devil and his agents would bow at our presence. God has sent us as ambassadors of Heaven here on the earth to cast out devils, to set people free from demonic chains and attacks. Let’s do everything required of us to carry God’s presence.
The following practical steps would give us recognition without introduction in the realm of the spirit:
1. Holiness / obedience to divine instructions
2. A life of prayer
3. A life of praise & worship
4. A passion for souls – Bringing people to Christ
5. Passion for Gods word
Declaration:
I shall not be an empty Christian. I shall carry Gods presence in Jesus name.
