And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Discussions:
Many Christians today do not truly know the God they serve. The revelation of God that we have is different for each individual. Some people know God as a protector who always keeps them from danger, but they may not have the revelation of God as a healer.
Revelation here means knowing beyond words. This can come through experience or through the Holy Spirit giving you Rhema—that is, the direct word revealed to you.
The text today tells us the difference it makes when we truly know our God. Knowing our God will make us strong and do exploit. We have seen some people who do not know Jehovah yet boast about their god. It is time to go deeper in God. Enough of shallow Christianity—there is more in God than what you currently know.
There are deeper levels in God that He wants to take us to, but this will require a lot of focus and intentional searching for Him.
Practical Steps :
1. Know God through His Word—spend time in His Word.
2. Know God through constant communication with Him (prayer).
3. Know God through obedience and sacrifice.
