GREAT REWARDER

 TEXT: GENESIS 15:1

“After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”

 Discussions:

We discussed in the devotional (15th Dec, 2025) that Christians should have a reward mentality. Today’s devotional is a continuation of that message. In today’s scripture, God spoke to Abraham, declaring that He is the great rewarder.
Before this text, Abraham had already shown his love for God in Gen 12:1. God told him to leave his comfort zone and go to a place that seemed humanly uncertain. Abraham left everything and followed God’s instruction. The disciples of Jesus were also concerned after they surrendered everything to follow Him.

Jesus answered them that He would surely reward them greatly (Matthew 19:27–28). God does not owe anyone. All we need is total surrender to Him. Peter surrendered his boat and received a net-breaking catch in return. When you serve, serve wholeheartedly; when you give, give wholeheartedly. Whatever we do for the Lord, we should do it with all our heart, and the great Rewarder will surely reward us greatly.
God sees all your effort towards His work. Expect your great rewards—they will surely come, and I shall hear your testimonies.

Declarations:

I shall receive my great reward because my God rewards in a big way.
