Today’s devotional is focused on Jesus as the way. The text today says that Jesus Christ is the way. This means that knowing Him is knowing the way. Life is full of choices; we make decisions in life from the time we wake up until the time we go to bed each day, and every choice has its consequences, whether good or bad. Jesus Christ being the way means that we can be rest assured that, as we know Him, our daily decisions will be guided by Him.
The Bible text says that Jesus Christ is the way to the Father. This simply means that He is the way to get into the presence of the Father. If anyone wants to reach the Father, they must follow His path. Jesus Christ gave us many parables and teachings showing us how He approached complex situations. He showed us the way of love, judgment, and wisdom. He showed us the way as the Lamb of God and the way as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
Everything we need to live a victorious Christian life was shown or taught through the Scriptures. If Jesus Christ is the way and we, as human beings, are limited in knowledge, then it is sensible to allow the Way, Jesus, to lead us through our daily lives.
One of the major tactics of the enemy is to create confusion. The enemy knows that if you are on the right path, you will surely get to the right destination. Therefore, he introduces things like confusion, distraction, etc. The objective of today’s devotional is to help us solidify our faith in Christ Jesus as the Way.
We are to acknowledge and trust in Jesus Christ, and we can be rest assured that we are safe in His hands. I define a way as a path cleared to get to a given destination, and Jesus Christ was sent to clear the way for us to get to the Father by dying on the cross for our sins.
1. Jesus Christ is the way to deliverance — Luke 4:18–19.
2. Jesus Christ is the way to prosperity — 2 Corinthians 8:9.
3. Jesus Christ is the way to good health — Isaiah 53:5.
4. Jesus Christ is the way to eternal life — John 17:3; John 3:16.
5. Jesus is the way to salvation — Romans 10:3.
Brethren, we live in a world full of uncertainty. The only assurance we have for our future is Jesus, who is the Way. Many know Him as a healer but not as the Way to eternity. However, God is calling us today to see Him as the Way to the Father. Everything we need is in Jesus Christ. All we need to do is surrender to Him and call upon Jesus Christ for help, and He shall show up for us. In Jesus’ name.
Declarations:
I know Jesus Christ; I know the Way. I am not confused, and I am not distracted. Jesus Christ is reigning in me, and I shall not be put to shame, in Jesus’ name.
