COME BOLDLY

 TEXT: HEBREWS 4:16

[16] Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

 Discussions:

The text today shows to us that our God is a God full of mercy and grace. The scripture explained to us how to access God. We are to go to God boldly, not timidly or cowardly.

The devil is very good at bringing our sins into our remembrance, making us feel unworthy before the Lord. He’s a bully.

We need to understand that our heavenly Father is a merciful God. He will never turn down anyone who asks for His mercy. No matter the level of our sins, we must know that God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins. As soon as we confess our sins and ask God for forgiveness, we are forgiven and we can come boldly to His throne.

The story of Cain and Abel is an example of God’s mercy. Cain killed Abel, God judged him, yet God set a mark on him so that he could not be killed. Same Cain married and bore a child called Enoch. A murderer gave birth to Enoch (Enoch, the man that walked with God) (Gen 4:15).

Cain even built a city and called the name of the city Enoch. The same Cain God punished, yet that same man married, had a child, and built a city.

Brethren, let’s learn to access God with boldness. When Satan reminds us of our past, we tell him to shut up. God has shown us mercy and we refuse to be timid before the Lord instead of being fearful we are to speak to God as a dad

Declaration:

The everlasting God is my Dad. I refuse to approach Him as a stranger. He knows me inside out and I am safe in the hollow of His hands. I come boldly in Jesus name.
