And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications:

The scripture today tells us how God promised to pour upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of supplication and grace. Supplication is a form of prayer of request. The spirit of supplication is a spirit of prayer that makes a man have no other way expect God regarding any issue of concern. It’s a spirit that give no other option. Either God or God.
One of the first thing that happens when the Spirit comes upon you is that the fear of issues fades away from your heart. You begin to engage in intense prayer because you cannot see any other way apart from God’s way. This is like an anointing that propels you to pray at every given opportunity. This is sweet to have and to experience. These are parts of the benefits of the Holy Spirit.
Satan will do everything to make sure you dont get to this point in the spirit. Fear, doubt, slumber and other of such spirits are satans stategy to make sure we dont attain this height in prayer.
Brethren, pray to God for the spirit of supplication and this shall be poured on us today in Jesus name.
