TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 10:12
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Discussions:
Apostle Paul was giving us an advice regarding taking care so we don’t fall. Many brethren who fell on their journey of Christianity never planned to fall. Some even were strong believers and on fire for the Lord. But the tempter got them.
Dont forget that the same tempter that got them is also after us. We must take heed and be very careful.
Some things to note is that we must always remember to pray for those who we know that have fallen away from the Christian faith.
Pray for those that are currently facing temptations or tribulation, and pray for yourself for strength to keep going on your daily journey in the Lord.
The following practices could help us to keep going:
1. Do not fear — Dont imagine you falling instead imagine yourself standing. This could create fear and cause one to fall into satans snare.
2. Be accountable / create a support system.
3. Be prayerful.
4. Meditate on God’s Word constantly
5. Depend on God not your strength.
Declarations:
I shall not fall. The Lord is my strength. He will send His angel to keep me from falling.
