WHEN GOD STEPS IN

 TEXT: PSALM 126:1–2

[1] When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, We were like them that dream. [2] Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

 Discussions:

Today’s scripture tells us what happens when God steps into situations. There are circumstances in life that, humanly speaking, may seem impossible. However, God is an expert at turning such situations around. When God steps in, you may need to pinch yourself to be sure you are not dreaming. Three things happened in the scripture above when God turned their captivity around:

1. Mouth filled with laughter:
Good news changes one’s countenance. There is someone reading this devotional today who will receive good news this season, and it will cause you to laugh.

2. Tongue filled with singing:
At this point, it does not matter whether you have a good singing voice or not. A joyful heart bursts into song, and sometimes even the legs join in dancing involuntarily.

3. The heathen testify about your God:
Those who do not know God will hear about what He has done in your life, and they will believe in your God. Your testimony will proclaim good news to them.

May these three things be your portion this season, in Jesus’ name. Stay with God, and He will exceed your expectations.

Declarations:

I shall laugh, I shall sing and dance, I shall have testimonies in Jesus’ name
