And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

A stony heart is a heart that is not open to God’s reprimand and instruction, while a heart of flesh is a heart that is open to God’s reprimand and follows God’s instructions. That’s the difference between Saul and David. David had his issues, but his heart was humble and soft enough for God to instruct. David was a man with a heart of flesh. Brethren, ask God to grant you a heart of flesh today.
