TEXT: LEVITICUS 24: 1-2
[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2] Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
Discussions:
The oil is needed by the lamp to give light. The oil alone can not bring the light without the lamp. The lamp is not what matters but the light, yet the lamp is needed. The oil in the text above represents the Holy Spirit. The lamp is you, while the light is the outcome/result. Having the oil in the lamp is useless without shining the light. It’s not enough for the lamp to have the oil, but the lamp must shine forth light. It’s important that the Holy Spirit in us brings forth results. We need to stir up the gift of the Holyspirit by praying in tongues all the time. We shall shine forth the light to the glory of the Lord in Jesus’ name.
Declarations:
I shall not have the Holy Spirit in vain in Jesus’ name.
