NOT BY MIGHT

 TEXT: ZECHARIAH 4:6

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

 Discussions:

Today’s Bible text reminds us that everything we desire to attain or have already attained is not by our own power or strength. Our lives are not in our hands; we exist by the command and will of our Heavenly Father. Therefore, it would be unwise to think that we can accomplish anything solely by our own strength.
Human strength is limited, but the power of Almighty God is unlimited. It is time for us to stop placing our confidence in our own abilities and begin to rely fully on God.
One word from God can accomplish what hours or even days of hard labour cannot produce (Luke 5:6).
When you step out of your house without praying, you are relying on your own might. When you eat without saying a word of prayer, you are relying on your own might. When you sleep at night or wake up in the morning without acknowledging God in prayer, you are relying on your own might. Anything we do without prioritising God’s will and guidance is done by human strength rather than by God’s power.
The lesson for us today is clear: never put your trust in your own strength. Instead, trust in the Lord completely, and you will never be put to shame.

Declaration:

I will not trust in my own strength, but I will depend on the might and power of God.
