TEXT: JOHN 2: 2-5
[2] and both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. [3] And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. [4] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. [5] His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
Discussions:
The names of the couple in the text above were not mentioned, but it is fair to think they must have a form of relationship or friendship with Jesus. However, when the wine finished and shame was knocking at the door, though Jesus was there but their relationship with Jesus could not get Jesus to help them. The only person who could get Jesus to help was his mother, especially when his time had not yet come. This means there are some people who have managed to access God more intimately than others. This could be as a result of their level of commitment, sacrifice, or obedience. When God opens your eyes to such people, don’t allow pride to make you lose your miracle. God bless you does not carry the same weight in the mouth of everybody. Keep working on building a solid and more intimate relationship with Jesus, but know that some people are closer to Him than you. May the Lord open your eyes when such people come your way in Jesus’ name.
