TEXT: JOHN 5:7
The impotent man answered Him, “Sir, I have no one, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

Today’s text focuses on a man who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years. Jesus asked him if he would like to be made whole. The response the man gave was genuine and honest. He did not know any other way a person could be healed miraculously except through the stirring of the Pool of Bethesda. You could tell he did not know much about who asked him the question, but he was very respectful in the way he responded to Jesus.
Jesus was not expecting a different answer from this man. We must open up completely to God. Do not pretend before God. Express your true feelings to Him. If your faith is low, tell Him your faith is weak regarding the matter and ask Him to help you.
Brethren, when God asks questions, it is not because He does not know the answer.
