TEXT: JOHN 6:25-26
[25] And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? [26] Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Hope you are having a good valentines Day. We have a very funny topic today. Some people followed Jesus all the way to Carpernaum, not because they love Gods word but because they wanted more bread and fish. The love they have for the Lord is conditional. There are many Christians that only serve God because of what they will get. God is a good God. He does not want us to serve Him and suffer (Exo 23;25), but if material things become our priority, then our service is for the love of bread and fish. God showed His love towards us, and he expects us to show our genuine love in return (Rom 5:8). Brethren, let’s ensure our love for Jesus goes beyond what we will get from Him.
