And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
Discussions:
Judas was one of the trusted disciples of Jesus but envy made him sell Jesus. The fact that he returned the 30 pieces of silver shows that his love for money was not so bad but he could not deal with the envy from the woman who poured the expensive oil on Jesus. He betrayed Jesus in the same chapter. The envy led to bitterness, led to betrayal then led to suicide. Don’t give chance for envy in your heart, it’s a type of cancer.
Declarations:
The love of Christ is in my heart and my heart has no room for envy in Jesus name.
