But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Jesus said we shall give account of every idle word we speak. This means all jokes, lies, e.t.c shall be accounted for. We shall give account of every word irrespective of our emotional state i.e., angry, happy, or sad. Before any word comes out of your mouth, remember those words are coming back for accountability. We are to be very careful with our words.
