YOUR VIEW MATTERS

 TEXT: NUMBERS 13:33

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

 Discussions:

The text today is about the ten spies who went to spy out the land of Canaan. Only two of them came back with a different perspective, while the remaining eight had a completely opposite view. God will sometimes require your perspective on any issue. These eight spies had already decided who they were. They exaggerated the problem and were defeated before the battle even began. Were they really grasshoppers? Of course not. There were giants in the land, but that did not make them grasshoppers.

No matter the situation you are facing at the moment, do not see yourself as defeated. See yourself as victorious. The way you see yourself in times of adversity matters. Your perspective on the problem will determine the steps you take. If your mindset tells you, “I am able,” you will approach it with confidence and positivity. But if your mindset tells you otherwise, it will be harder to overcome because your approach will be negative.

God had to remove some soldiers from Gideon’s army because their perspectives were different from the others( Judges 7:3). Maintain a positive outlook. It will not only help you approach challenges properly, but it will also benefit your health and vitality.

Declarations:

I am not a grasshopper. I shall overcome any challenge that comes my way in life in Jesus’ name. I am able in Jesus’ name.
