TEXT: ZECHARIAH 8:13, 16-17
[13] And it shall come to pass that as you were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong.
[16] These are the things that you shall do: Speak every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates.
[17] And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour, and love no false oath; for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.
Discussions:
God can turn any curse into a blessing. The text above tells us how God spoke to the children of Israel about how He would change their curse into a blessing. He gave them some specific instructions:
1. No fear: Do not fear the power of any curse. The power of Jesus Christ can destroy any form of curse, no matter how strong.
2. Let your hands be strong: Be ready to pray. Administer the Word of God and do whatever God asks you to do. Do not be lazy.
3. Speak the truth: God instructed them to speak the truth. This means that speaking the truth can turn curses into blessings.
4. Do not think evil in your heart: God sees your heart, so your thoughts should not be evil. If you do not want evil to happen to you, do not think evil about others. Thinking evil can repel blessings from any Christian. Always bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Brethren, not only is God turning curses into blessings, but He is also turning us into blessings in Jesus’ name.
