I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

Jesus made this statement after He had preached to the woman He met at the well. He was simply saying to us in the scripture above that some people are ready for harvest because the seed of the gospel has already been sown into their hearts. All we need to do is bring them into the fold by preaching the gospel to them.
Jesus encourages us to go into the world and speak to them about Him. Many Christians are ashamed to be associated with Jesus in public, but we must not be ashamed of Him. Your testimony about Jesus could win souls to Him.
Jesus has already done the work of salvation on the cross. We can’t save anyone. No one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them( John 14:6). We are only sent as messengers. The message is not ours, and the power to change anyone is not ours. Our job is to tell people about Jesus and leave the rest to Him.
