“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.”

Our text today gives us an insight that the Spirit can be given in measures. The Spirit was released on Jesus Christ without measure. This means there is room for us to increase in the level of anointing. If Jesus was given the Spirit without measure, we can also receive the Spirit of God without measure.
The Spirit of God is the Holy Spirit. The disciples’ first contact with the Holy Spirit was in Acts 2:4. They had another encounter with the Holy Spirit in Acts 4:31. This means we can have as many encounters with the Holy Spirit as possible. What determines how much of the Spirit we carry is how much we thirst for Him. As we tarry in God’s presence, may His Spirit increase in us, in Jesus’ name.

As I tarry in God’s presence, I shall have a higher measure of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
