TEXT: NUMBERS 11:1
And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. .
Discussions:
The bible text today shows us how God hates complaining or moaning. Moaning is a sign of ingratitude. We can’t be grateful and moaning at the same time. We have to choose one. God prefers us to be grateful rather than moaning. When we moan, we forget about every other thing that is working.
Some people moan about almost everything. Moaning has very dangerous consequences. It kindles God’s anger and releases the fire of God upon those who moan.
Instead of moaning, make it a habit to say “Thank you, Jesus.” Moaning attracts anger, but thanksgiving attracts blessing. If we are to choose, then Thanksgiving is better than moaning.
In reality, some things occur that could cause us to complain, but just remember, it is better to thank God than to complain. Choose to be grateful for all other things that are still working well for you.
Declarations:
I choose to thank God and not to moan in Jesus’ name.
