but I keep under my body and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway..

Apostle Paul told us what he does regularly. He said he keeps under his body and brings it under subjection so that he will not be a castaway on the last day. There are some things required of us to do so that we are not exposed to satanic plans to make us fall.
Bringing the body under subjection means Apostle Paul makes sure he is in control of his body, not the body controlling him. For example, if he wants to fast and his body starts becoming hungry, he takes the decision to fast instead of eating. We have to put our emotions and feelings in control and not the other way round.
Let us be careful of every action as we walk with God. May we not be a castaway preacher on the last day in Jesus’ name.
