He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: They kept his testimonies and the ordinance that he gave them.

Our God is a God of wonders. He expects us to keep a record of the things He has done for us and always appreciate Him for all He did in the past. It’s a good habit to have a note to record Gods miracles in our lives. This will not only be useful in appreciating God but will also build our faith to trust Him when newer challenges come our way. David defeated Goliath by the testimonies of his deliverance in the wilderness.
